About

I have been working in the Tile industry for nearly 30 years, 20 years working for a union tile shop. I served a four year apprenticeship before graduating to journeyman. I've worked all over Southern California. In 1996, I got my contractor's license and started doing my own contracting in my spare time. Nine years ago, I left the union company I was with. It was bittersweet, as I have learned much and forged many good friendships there, but there is something to be said about being you're own boss.
I believe I have a good work ethic.Time is money for the homeowner as well as myself. At Bud's Ceramic Tile we want happy customers, because a happy customer tells two or three people; an unhappy customer tells everybody. Word of mouth is the best advertisement.
In addition to installation of ceramic tile, marble and stone, I also do demolition, waterproofing, related plumbing, repairing damaged wood and anything related to the project that will save the homeowner a few bucks and save me time. I do know my limitations and know when to call in the calvary.
Technology is a great thing, especially when it works right. My kids have all the latest gadgets and are up on all the latest stuff. I feel like a dinosaur in many ways, but my daughter tries to keep me updated. That's why I have Facebook, a Facebook page for business, and now a blogger page. The purpose of this page would be to share some experiences, maybe some interesting tidbits and answer any questions that readers may have. I'll do my best to be clear, honest and precise. Comments and criticism are always welcome.
